Epipelagic Zone (surface to 200m)
Also known as the sunlight zone, is the warmest zone as its upper reaches are fully lit at midday.
Mesopelagic Zone (200-1000m)
Referred to as the twilight zone, ranges from dimly lit to dark at midday. A great diversity of strange and bizarre fishes can be found here.
The Deep Ocean (1000m+)
The largest zone: 75% of the average ocean depth with no sunlight. The water pressure at this depth can reach from 5800 pounds to 8 tons per square inch.
